My Avengers props

Hi! It's Rose.
Boo is taking a nap, so now is my chance to post. Boo doesn't approve of me writing about non hamster -related things on "his" blog.

I have been working on some replicas of the props Loki has in the Avengers.
So far, I have his spear, and his muzzle. Ok, the muzzle is not technically his, but he is forced to wear it when he is defeated. And it looks cool.

My spear is made of cardboard, with a real tree branch in the middle to hold it up and to give it some weight. The blue gem is made of Sculpy™ clay.  The whole thing is secured with blue tape.
Lots of blue tape.

 I like to paint everything over white first, because it makes a nice basic starting point. Then I go over it again with colors. The body of the spear is Raw Sienna mixed with Metallic Gold. Then I put a thin coat of just plain Metallic Gold over it. The blade is Metallic silver mixed with black, and then some Metallic Silver dabbed over it to give a cool effect.

The muzzle is made of Sculpy clay too, and then painted Metallic Silver. Then I put a little black & silver mixture in the cracks, just to look more real. Then I glued on straps of black elastic.
I wil actually wear this muzzle, so I added a piece of black felt on the inside just to make it comfy.

The Avengers: Best movie ever!

             Hey guys! Rose here.  I'm going to tell you about a really great movie ~
                                                 THE AVENGERS!!!!

             If you haven't seen it when it was in the theaters, don't think you can't now.
              Get it from the library when it comes out on disc in September!
             
              Even the hamsters love it!

               The soundtrack of the Avengers is also very good. I would like to show you a video of
               a girl who figured out how to play the Avengers theme song on her violin.

Hey Guys!

  Hello everyone! 
I still have a lot of stuff to learn about ''Blogging'', so for now I just wanted to introduce myself. 
My name is Boo.  I am a hamster. 
In my opinion, hamsters are the finest creatures ever created! But let's get back to the subject. 
I live with my human, Rose, and my large family of hamsters. 
On the banner above, you can see me shown with my nephew, William. 
He's the grey one.
Although I am pink, I am very much a man. 
I have a wife, and four children. My wife's name is Cream Puff, but everyone calls her Pah. 
She will probably be popping up a lot around here. 

All the typing, programming, and stuff like that is done by Rose. She's good at that.
I just tell her what to say.
I would type for myself, but my hands are not strong enough to press the keys. 
Also, working a mouse is a two-hamster job. One pushes the mouse around, and the other jumps 
on top of it to click. Rose says I could use the exercise, but I just stuck my tongue out at her.
I'm not fat, am I? 

Anyway, for now, just feed the fishies.
